The East County Courthouse has jurisdiction over civil, criminal, and family law matters within the following cities and unincorporated areas: Camarillo, Fillmore, Moorpark, Ojai, Oxnard, Port Hueneme, Santa Paula, Simi Valley, and Thousand Oaks. The courthouse also has jurisdiction over all of Ventura County’s juvenile cases.
The East County Courthouse is a three-story building with a basement. It was built in 1963 and has approximately 97,000 square feet of space. The courthouse has a jury assembly room, three courtrooms, and eight judge’s chambers. The building is equipped with a secure entry system, public address system, and closed circuit television system.
