The bondsmen will agree to appropriately secure the release of the arrested individual for a small fee, usually between the ranges of 8%-10% of the bail’s face amount. The bail will usually require the arrested individual to have a co-signor that will assume the responsibility of them appearing in court. Once all of the paperwork are properly gathered, read, understood, and signed, the individual will be free to go about their regular duties of personal work and obligations without having to worry about returning to jail, given they keep in touch with their bondsman on an appointed schedule up until their date of court appearance. This schedule of contact with one’s bondsman can be set up to accommodate with one’s work, school, and/or family schedule.
